Love myself

so lately a message has been resonating with me "love myself." This is necessary for me to love God and love people the way that he has planned for me to. I heard this "phrase", if you will, in church last week and thought "ok," but then I read it again this week in a devotional so i thought hmmm, what are you trying to say God. The message is really very simple.
