'Twas the Night Before Jesus Came

'Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the house
Not a creature was praying, not one in the house.
Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care
In hopes that Jesus would not come there.

The children were dressing to crawl into bed,
Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head.
And mom in her rocker and baby on her lap
Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap.

When out of the East there arose such a clatter,
I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!

When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here.
With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray
I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY!

The light of His face made me cover my head.
It was Jesus! Returning just like He said.
And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth,
I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.
In the Book of Life which He held in His hand,
Was written the name of every saved man.
He spoke not a word as He searched for my name;
When He said, "It's not here," my head hung in shame.

The people whose names had been written with love
He gathered to take to His Father above.
With those who are ready He rose with a sound
While all the rest left standing around.

I fell to my knees, but it was too late;
I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate.
I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight;
Oh, if only I had been ready tonight.

In the words of this poem the meaning is clear;
The coming of Jesus is drawing near.
There's only one life and when comes the last call
We'll find that the Bible was true after all!

Easy Shopping is Back Again

I don't know if many of you are aware of the controversy that the Wal-mart corporation has caused in the past few weeks. Wal-mart had been showing obvious support to Homosexual Marriage Groups. They made very large donations to these groups, large enough to spike interest in the pro-family side. I felt that I did not want our dollars going to knowingly support something that my beliefs didn't back up, so Justin and I stopped shopping at Wal-mart. Oh it was so sad for me. But, there is good news, Wal-mart has has made a statement saying that they will remain neutral in this issue and no longer financially support the homosexual movement. Yeaa I have my Wal-mart back. Course shopping at Target for some things wasn't so bad.

What I heard today

I like this quote it comes from a song that i heard today on the radio..

if confession is the road to healing
forgiveness is the promise land

Can you name the band who sang these words?
(try not to look it up!)

Quote of the Day

I have stumbled across a website that I have fallen in love with (sorry Justin) :). The wbsite is:

www.thinkexist.com

The site consists of nothing but quotes from different people.
Today's quote of the day (maybe quote of the week with all of the work the i have to do) is:

"When you have come to the edge Of all light that you know And are about to drop off into darkness Of the unknown, Faith is knowing One of two things will happen: There will be something solid to stand on or You will be taught to fly."
