What's your favorite...
I have been faced with a predicament. My Bible has recently fallen apart, all of the pages have come unbound. This bums me out because I have so many things marked in my current Bible that won't be marked in whatever Bible i choose to buy. So I guess my question for you, the readers of this blog, is; What is your favorite version of the Bible and why?

The message, b/c when people ask you about it, you can read it to them, and they are like "that is the bible, but it doesn't sound old?" And they have the best descriptions. IT is a beautiful bible.

I personally like to use the New American Standard Version. Basically the reason that I like this version is because it is a very good version for studying and it still is easier to understand. Zonderman rates this version as the most accurate translation to the original text. I feel that I also need to mention though that you can have you old Bible rebond. Hope this helps.

ahhh, yes the message is great.
What to get is really determined by what you want to use it for. If you're going to use this Bible for your quiet time and for studying, I wouldn't get the Message. Get some form of a study Bible. I've always been able to use my NIV study Bible well for that type of thing.
I do have a message too. It's great for just reading like you're reading a novel. But it's not too good for studying.

Thanks for the rebinding advice: but i tryed to get justins bible rebound last year for christmas and i couldn't do it locally. i didn't want to pay the family christian book store money for something they couldn't guarantee so i wasn't really eager to go that route, and besides i wasn't too ofnd of the translation i have currently. (New Living Translation)
